CareerForce is partnering with the Minnesota Department of Education to provide CareerForce Corner resources within a limited number of interested Minnesota libraries.

The CareerForce Corner provides curated, and up-to-date CareerForce resources to help library staff further assist job seekers. In addition, CareerForce Corner helps library staff more easily connect Minnesotans needing greater support in their job search or access to additional programs and services with CareerForce staff or partners who can help them.

Information and services available at locations can include:

  • Resources such as flyers and brochures about CareerForce services
  • Workshops or other events that support job search
  • Space to meet with CareerForce staff when available for individual coaching or assistance with resumes, interview prep, referrals to other specialized services, etc.

Worthington HRA owns and manages a total of 136 Units of Public Housing in the City of Worthington. These units include one, two, three, and four bedroom apartments, houses, and duplexes. The sites include the Atrium Hi-Rise, Lucy Square Townhomes, and various scattered houses and duplexes located throughout Worthington. The Worthington HRA also owns and manages 64 units of Market Rate Housing in Worthington to include: “Prairie Acres” and “Rising Sun Estates”

Our goal is to provide a broad scope of quality mental health services to people of all ages and economic backgrounds who reside in Cottonwood, Jackson, Nobles, Pipestone, and Rock counties. We do not deny services based on ability to pay, race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, or sexual orientation. SWMH is licensed by the Minnesota Dept. of Human Services and has fully qualified credentialed staff who offer a variety of mental health services. Our multidisciplinary staff includes social workers, marriage and family therapists, mental health therapists, mental health practitioners, and peer support specialists. Consulting psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners see clients by appointment.

The Jackson County Veterans Service Office provides guidance and assistance to veterans, their dependents and survivors in applying for veterans benefits provided by the State of Minnesota and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

In addition, we provide transportation to the Sioux Falls VA medical center to those in need of this service.

We also provide referrals to a variety of other public and private programs and work closely with veterans organizations concerning programs & changes.
